Hi Onibalusi, Nice Post! But i want you to ask that.. Is there a trick(or a whole process) that can help me to rank my particular blog post? If there is, please enlighten me so that i can rank my particular posts higher at SERPs. Thanks
Next, you need to get the best guest post link(s) you can. Guest blogging works to build links because you can put links to your website in your post, and usually in your author bio.

Newsjacking is when you capitalize on the popularity of a news story to amplify your own sales and marketing success. If you're the first blogger to comment on a news event, you'll rise to the top of the SERPs due to the "freshness" component of Google's algorithm, and others will link to your content in their own accounts of the story. Read this blog post for four newsjack formulas to get you started.

Hi Neil, I have been a long time reader of your blogs. (Yes, I follow them all! Lol) Thanks for always being thoroughly helpful and for writing in a way even for beginners in SEO like myself can understand. I will definitely try out these tips and hopefully, get great results. Thanks again.

Maira sheikh February 22, 2016 at 11:27 am / Reply Hey Felix, great to read such informative content. I have developed my website in november 2015 but i am unable to get backlinks. I don’t understand the reason but on checking google analytics i observed that whenever i update 2- 3 articles a day, my page views increases. please help me offering some suggestion.
I am struggling to get backlinks for an event listing calendar that our company offers. For this, we aren’t writing blog posts about it or anything, we are simply providing great content for people to find things to do for fun with friends, for a date night, or even just events that somebody is passionate about. I want to do this right and know that it is a useful resource for people to find things to do, however, the hardest part is getting the word out about it. How do I get people to backlink to our calendar?
Yogesh July 21, 2015 at 11:52 am / Reply Hi, I was looking for something like and this and after a lot of searches I found your article. It was very helpful and very enjoyable to read. Creating Backlinks is a crucial task and no one likes to sit and write for others or comment on other blogs just to get a backlink but as we know that to rank above you need a lot of backlinks. I will surely try Guest Posting method very soon. It may result in a good way (I hope )
For example, let’s look at the key phrase “content marketing.” With a quick search, I was able to find this question, asking if content marketing actually works.
Finally, one last tip: Always create links for the person clicking on them. Don’t think about backlinks as a way of promoting your business – think about them as a way of helping the people who will be clicking on them. As long as you focus on other people, the traffic will come naturally – especially because this mindset will subtly influence your posts and make it clear that you’re trying to help.
Tip 5: Pitch your best content to websites. Another strategy to obtain backlinks is to email the webmasters on your target list with a pitch to link into your content. If the content is good enough or relevant enough to their sites' target audience, they may consider your request. Provide them with anchor keyword phrases you’d like to have linking into your site, and be patient. They may take weeks to respond.
SEO algorithms is changing daily, but people would hardly share the new tricks and tips. Relevant back-linking will continue dominating 90% of the SEO, the rest 10% to be taken by relevant content. Thank you.
Building links was once an easy and almost automated affair, but now if I want to build links for my website, I need to work for them. Not only that, but I need to create a profile that shows backlinks coming from other sites, that way it’s varied in where they come from and which pages they are leading to. Today I’ll show you what defines a high-quality backlink in 2016 and beyond, followed by an infographic that will give you all of today’s top strategies for building the best links. How to spot high-quality backlinks Whether you’re trying to find guest posting opportunities by perusing social media, or you’re simply trying to make contact with other bloggers, you should understand exactly what defines a high-quality backlink before you start building them. Here are the things to look out for: It comes from a relevant source - You don’t want backlinks from sites that are outside your niche or not even remotely related to your own. The link is from a trusted website - Big sites like Wikipedia, BBC, and so on are high-quality, but for others you should look at the TrustRank and Domain Authority (DA) they have. The backlink brings in traffic - The entire purpose of a backlink is to send quality traffic to your site. If your backlinks aren’t sending traffic, they’re not worth having. Your Backlink is within the page’s content - High-quality backlinks always appear within content. They shouldn’t be placed outside of the main area on their page. Keep in mind that these characteristics are part of ongoing changes Google makes to its algorithm. Take a look at the infographic below for plenty more strategies for building your backlink profile. Let us know how it helps you in the comments below! *This post is a guest article and infographic which was created for After Digital by Matt Banner of On Blast Blog.
Thanks for this informative post… I notice some of the method are doable for me and some are not but am more interested about guest posting because you again a link and also traffic. I have a question, I will be glad if someone can help me out. I run a multi niche blog and when I do a guest post in one of my different niches do I link to my homepage or link to the specific niche category, example abcd.com/category/health. . Something like that
You might think that this is cliche, but the numbers and stats have it, any offer that has the word FREE will increase the conversion rate significantly. The word “FREE” is magical in the marketing world. So offer lots of free downloads on your site. People will spread the word about them.
Hi Neil, Great awesome content as usual….I always return to read your blog posts here and on your personal site at neilpatel.com again and again, for both insights and inspiration!
Step 2: Leave meaningful and valuable comments. Don’t simply say “Hey, great post” and then drop in a link – that’s spam. Instead, try focusing on an idea in the article, providing a nuanced and measured response, and wrapping up with a link to an article that continues your ideas and helps further explain why you feel the way you do. Remember, if you come off as both authoritative and intelligent, people are more likely to click. Your audience is the blog’s other readers, and they are the ones you should be writing for.
A good inbound link comes from an authoritative website, and uses natural anchor text. Anchor text is simply the text copy that's hyperlinked, like this. (The anchor text there is "like this.") Natural anchor text means you're not just hyperlinking keywords left and right. Google understands the context of a link, so more generic "learn more" and "click here" anchor text can be just as valuable as keyword-optimized anchor text.
Yummie, will implement this ASAP on my new niche site. Probably it will convert well also. By the way, where do you come up with such names “The Moving Man Method”, it’s catchy, but lol
Hey Razwan, great article! while running an audit, there are four types of links namely high, average, low and no categories. as you said high quality links need to be considered to boost a site’s authority. what about other types of links? how should we consider them ? Reply
Hi Felix, its 2015 but here I am reading your post. That’s very true what you said about trusting no one. I was once in a stagnated stage trying to adapt all the guides and tips that there is provided online. It is true that to be successful, one has to find his own way to find a strategy that works for you. Cheers, thank you for sharing this to us!
varyhelp December 1, 2015 at 6:55 pm / Reply A bunch of good strategies for beginner’s. But one thing is not clear to me that, when I start link building? I think, frist of all building good relationship with same peers or niche’s is important because, it is all about the crowd and community who is interested to hear from you. So it is very important to build a community or regular audience first and then focus on build the backlinks.
Greg October 7, 2016 at 3:59 am / Reply Hi Felix, Congratulations for your great post about link building. I am a big fan of the broken link building strategy and have had good success with it. My favorite tool is the “Check my links” Google Chrome extension to check web pages for broken links. If I find a broken link, I email the webmaster and ask him/her if they would like to replace it with my link. I think the broken link building strategy is a great way to obtain new backlinks because you actually help fellow webmasters fix their websites and you establish a healthy relationship with them in the same time. With this one strategy, you get more backlinks, your website ranks higher on Google, and you help the Internet be a better place

In-content backlinks (i.e. backlinks within a block of text) are the most likely to be editorial links, which are exactly the type of links that search engines value most, and if a link is included early on in a piece of content then it’s natural to assume that the author of that content considers it be an important link. Therefore, a backlink within the main content area of a page, and towards the top of that content area, is considered to be more high quality than a link lower down the page or in the sidebar or footer.
This is a great post. I am currently paying a company $750 a month to help with SEO on my site, and they are primarily working on building backlinks. After reading your post, I am wondering if I should use your techniques to build the backlinks myself instead of paying this company all this money that I don’t have.
As I mentioned in a previous article on SEO, one of the criteria Google uses to rank results in its search engine is the number of external links an particular URL has linking to it. The more high-quality links an article has, the higher it will rank.
It’s logical that a high quality backlink would come from a high quality website, and that a high quality site would also be a very trustworthy site. To determine if a website is trustworthy, search engines use a set of trusted seed sites (for example, Wikipedia, BBC, The Huffington Post, etc.), which they know for sure are high quality and which are difficult to get links from. The fewer the number of links away a site is from one of the seed sites, the higher its TrustRank is, and the higher the quality a link from that site is.
